FAQ's

1. How many runners will there be to a group?

There will be a maximum of 8 runners per group (including 2x Running2Resonate members)

2. How old do I have to be to participate in the guided Trail Runs?

We would ask for participants to be a minimum of 16 years of age.

3. Why do the guided Trails start so early?

We decided that 9:00 am is a great time to start the Trail. This will ensure that the Trail is not so crowded and it's a great way to get a head start on the day.

4. How long will the guided Tail run last?

Approximately  an hour and  a half to two hours but this will depend on the specific guided Trail Run.

5. What pace will the Trail be run at?

Generally, between 7-8 minutes per kilometer unless stated otherwise. It will be at an easy, conversational and social pace with appropriate points to walk (uphills) or pause (to hydrate/refuel or take selfies!). We will aim to run as a group. However, if it becomes clear, during the booking process, that there is a clear difference between the pace of runners participating, then we shall consider dividing runners into 2 smaller groups.

6. What do I need to bring with me on the Trail run?

  • Sturdy running trainers or trail running shoes if it looks like it's going to be wet and slippery
  • water
  • running bag or hydration vest containing a rain jacket (if appropriate), snacks and a small first aid kit
  • charged mobile phone
  • small bottle of hand sanitizer, disposable gloves & face coverings (Covid requirments)

7. How will Covid Rules be complied with

We have carried a Covid Risk Assessment to ensure that our guided Trails are Covid secure and that all risks have been identified and mitigated. Participants will be fully briefed on the measures before the Trail. In addition, the current Government Guidance regarding outside organised sport will be followed. The full Guidance can be found at:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-grassroots-sports-guidance-for-the-public-and-sport-providers

In addition, Covid Guidance can also be located at England Athletics website:

https://www.englandathletics.org/athletics-and-running/news/guidance-update-2021/

If participants have any further Covid related queries, they are advised to contact Running2Resonate's Covid Co-ordinator Dan Ferrer at dan@running2resonate.co.uk

8. What happens if it is due to rain on the day of the Trail

We aim to give you as much notice as possible if the weather is so poor that we have no option but to postpone the Trail. However, we plan to continue with the Trail even if it's raining! If the Trail run is unfortunately cancelled due to poor weather we would be happy to provide a refund within 48 hours of the cancelled event. Alternatively, we would will be able to provide a credit note for a future Trail of your choice, if this is your preference.

9. How safe will the Trail be?

Of course, there will be risks to participants in our guided Trail Runs compared to road running. However, these trails have been assessed for any potential hazards. We feel we have mitigated these by having members of the Team at the front and rear. In additional, both of these Team members will be trained in ITC Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid. Please contact us if you wish to see a copy of our full Health & Safety Risk Assessment.

10. Will there be parking facilities?

Yes, all 3 of our current Guided Trails start and end at car park where the group will meet.

11. Will there be any toilets on the Trail

Unfortunately not. So please make sure you go before arriving or be prepared to use nature's facilities!

12. What will happen on the day of the Trail run?

  • We will meet at the car park 15 minutes before the start time for introductions and a briefing
  • We will start our guided Trail run with Dan leading and Joe at the rear. You will have an awesome time!
  • The guided Trail Run, depending on the specific Trail, will last approximately 1 hour and a half to 2 hours.
  • The guided Trail Run will be at an easy, social and conversational pace, 7-8 mins per kilometer and we will generally run as a group. (Unless there is a clear difference between the pace of runners within the group).
  • We will walk parts, e.g. up hills and even stop to take pics and selfies.
  • We will get you back to the car park safe and sound all in one piece with the feeling that you will try out another one of our Trails soon!!!
